Hope Uzodimma has been inaugurated for a second term as the governor of Imo State, following his reelection several months ago.

Uzodimma took the oath of office at approximately 3:24 pm at the Dan Ayiam Stadium in Owerri, the capital of Imo State.

The governor’s inauguration occurred shortly after Lady Chinyere Ekomaru took her oath of office as the deputy governor of Imo State.

The event on Monday drew the attendance of thousands of Imo residents and guests from within and outside the state. Dignitaries present included President Bola Tinubu, former president Olusegun Obasanjo, Senate President Godswill Akpabio, Speaker of the House of Representatives Tajudeen Abbas, and other All Progressives Congress (APC) chieftains.

In his address at the event, the governor pledged to surpass his achievements from the first term, expressing gratitude to the people of the state for their support.

Uzodimma also thanked President Tinubu for attending the event and praised him for always supporting him and the state.
