Three women from the Anglican Church tragically lost their lives on Sunday in a fatal car crash near the Afolu area in Ise Local Government Area of Ekiti State.
The victims identified as Mrs. Adegbola, the wife of a former chairman of Ise/Orun Local Government Area, Mrs. Ofeno, and Mrs. Ekundayo lost their lives.
While others with varying degrees of injuries are currently undergoing treatment at an undisclosed hospital.
The unfortunate incident occurred as the Anglican Church’s 18-seater bus was en route to Ado-Ekiti for their annual enrollment service.
Reports indicate that a tire malfunctioned while the bus was in motion, leading to the driver losing control. Subsequently, the vehicle somersaulted multiple times on the road and the women died on the spot.
