The Ekiti State Commissioner for Agric and food security, Mr Ebenizer Boluwade, yesterday in Abuja, had the honour of representing Governor Biodun Oyebanji, at the Special Agro-Industrial Processing Zones (SAPZ) phase II Inception Workshop at African Development Bank (AfDB) Abuja.
In the goodwill message he delivered on behalf of Gov Oyebanji, he emphasized the readiness of the state to be part of phase II and the huge capital the state is investing in getting power to the site of the project. He also mentioned other comparative advantages Ekiti has in attracting investors to the state.
The SAPZ initiative aligns with Gov Oyebanji ‘s economic agenda and holds the promise of propelling Ekiti state and Nigeria towards self-sufficiency, creating opportunities for farmers, particularly our women and youth, and revitalizing the economy.
He was joined at the Workshop by his colleague and senior brother, Prof Bolaji Aluko, the Commissioner for Infrastructure and Public Utilities, Ekiti State who also took time to explain the nexus between Ekiti Knowledge Zone, the cargo airport, and SAPZ within the State eco system.
