…Urges Radical Actions Against Poverty, Insecurity
A prominent Local Government Chairman in Ekiti State, Hon. Michael Ogungbemi, has felicitated President Bola Ahmed Tinubu as he mounts the saddle of presidency of the Nigerian nation.
Ogungbemi,who is the Chairman of Ajoni Local Council Development Area , advised Tinubu and his Vice, Senator Kashim Shettima to initiate radical policies that would exterminate poverty , unemployment and insecurity that are destroying the collective image of the country.
The LG boss, in his congratulatory message on Monday, appealed to the former Lagos State Governor to bring the midas touches he deployed in Lagos to bear at the presidency for Nigerians to breathe a sigh of relief after years of despondency.
Ogungbemi reminded Tinubu that Nigerians voted for him and his Vice on accounts of the superlative antecedents and impressive personal qualities, appealing that they shouldn’t disappoint Nigerians now that they have hope in their abilities to usher in a new dawn of prosperity .
He said Tinubu must work assiduously to execute policies woven around his Renewed Hope Manifesto, targeted at restoring security, job and wealth creation, human capital development and robust diplomatic policies that would putur Nigeria on a faster pace of economic development.
Ogungbemi stated that “We are happy that President Bola Ahmed Tinubu campaigned through a mantra called Renewed Hope. This came at a time when all the depressed Nigerians are yearning for hope.
“We appeal to him to walk the talk by giving the necessary hope Nigerians deserve in all spheres. He must pursue zealously all his policies without preferences for any individual or zone, but for all Nigerians irrespective of race, tribes,political and religious inclinations.
“As an experienced and ingenious politician that he is, President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has the requisite exposure and intellectual shrewdness to bring Nigeria out of the woods.
“I am particularly glad by his comment that he has no excuse not to perform. Bearing this in mind, the President must appoint the right persons in the right positions for him to make headway in his quest to deliver Nigeria from its present parlous state.
“I am glad that your swearing in came into reality and was done hitch-free despite all the shenanigans and cacophony of threats being issued by the opposition,who were claiming imaginary victory and baseless stolen mandate.
“I congratulate you on behalf of the good people of Ajoni LCDA and wish you good health and sound mind to be able to pilot the affairs of our dear country with the most deserved spirit”.
