In a remarkable achievement, Prince Michael Ogungbemi, the Chairman of Ajoni Local Council Development Area (LCDA), has been awarded the prestigious title of “Outstanding Council Chairman of the Year” in Ekiti State.

The honour was bestowed upon him on Thursday by the Theater Arts and Motion Pictures Practitioners Association of Nigeria (TAMPAN) during the official inauguration of the newly elected officers of the Ekiti chapter.

The Global President of TAMPAN, Otunba Bolaji Amusan, popularly known as “Baba Latin”, presented the award to Prince Ogungbemi, highlighting his exceptional leadership skills and the tangible impact of his projects on the lives of the people in the council area.

He said the selection process involved a comprehensive evaluation of the activities carried out by all chairmen in the state, making Prince Ogungbemi’s achievement all the more commendable.

Under Prince Ogungbemi’s astute guidance, Ajoni LCDA has witnessed significant developments that have positively influenced the community. Notable among these projects are the construction of schools, the drilling of boreholes to provide clean and portable water, the establishment of health centers, and the empowerment of small and medium-scale business owners. Additionally, his administration has prioritized security measures and ensured proper road maintenance and grading.

Receiving the award, the LCDA Chairman appreciated the association for the recognition saying it would spur him to do more.

He promised to continue to initiate programmes that would enhance the living standard of his people and create conducive environment for business.
