…Celebrates Children Day Maiden In Grand Style

As parts of measures to promote education and advanced academic excellence among pupils in both public primary and secondary Schools in Ajoni Local Council Development Area, LCDA, overall Best Student in this years Spelling Bee. Master Ayiga Prince has been granted Scholarship from JSS 1 to SS3.

The Global News reports that the scholarship for the brilliant but indigent student, Master Ayiga Prince who is a pupil of Saint Patrick Primary school, Oke Ayedun – Ekiti would cover tuition fees, books, uniforms in any of the public school within Ajoni local council development area.

Announcing this at a maiden edition of Children day celebration in Ajoni Local Council Development Area, the Executive Chairman, Prince Michael Ogungbemi also announced that Master Ayiga Prince would be privileged to preside over the Ajoni LCDA as the Acting Chairman for One Day, drives in the chairman’s official car to the office, monitor project site, address the council staffs and would be paid one quarter of the chairman’s salary.

in his quest to promote technical education among children across communities in Ajoni LCDA, Prince Ogungbemi also appointed the Vice Principal, Technical School, Ikole Ekiti, Mr Aderemi Adeniyi as Technical Assistance to the Ajoni Council Boss on Technical Education.

The Executive Chairman of Ajoni LCDA who maintained that education and welfare of people at the grassroots would be given adequate priority, said after the conduct of proper assessment by an
International NGO and Education
Secretary of Ikole LGA, another four classrooms would be built at Saint Luke’s primary school by the Ajoni LCDA in partnership with Build A School Initiative In Africa (BASIA) in addition to the one built at the Saint Stephen’s Primary School, Ayebode Ekiti.

Some of the stakeholders who spoke on the occasion described Prince Michael Ogungbemi as God’s sent and a visionary leader who had truely imparted meaningfully in lives of children in Ajoni Local Council Development Area.

The children’s day which is first of it kind in Ajoni Local Council Development Area was celebrated at Saint Luke’s primary school School field at Oke Ayedun/Esun Ekiti with match past among primary and secondary Schools in Ajoni LCDA.

The colorful event which featured Cultural Display by pupils and students from various schools across communities in the council area, enabled pupils to have a sense of belonging during this year’s children’s celebration.
