The President of Nigeria, Asiwaju Bola Tinubu has suspended the Minister of Humanitarian Affairs and Poverty Alleviation, Betta Edu, over an alleged N585m palliative scandal within the ministry.

Edu was seen in a video posted on TVC’s official X page leaving the Villa after she was unable to see President Tinubu hours after her suspension.

The suspended minister’s scandal started when she signed a document requesting funds to be transferred to Oniyelu Bridget Mojisola’s personal account. The document was sent to the Office of the Accountant-General of the Federation.
