A popular lecturer at the University of Maiduguri (UNIMAID), Kamar Abdulkadir has been murdered in his office, The Global News reports.
The PhD holder at UNIMAID’s Department of Physical Health Education was found dead in the pool of his blood on Sunday with several injuries inflicted on his body by his killers.
According to a local source, Abdulkadir’s bodily injuries indicated he was attacked with a knife and hammer.
The source said: “His hands were peeled off when he tried to stop the attackers from stabbing him. They also used a hammer to smash his head and his spinal cord, killing him instantly.”
It was learned that the killers carted away the lecturer’s vehicle and other valuables.
