In commemoration of Nigeria’s 63rd Independence Day Anniversary, the Chairman of Ajoni Local Council Development Area of Ekiti State, Hon. (Prince) Michael Ogungbemi, has extended his heartfelt greetings to Nigerians.

The council boss said the auspicious occasion serves as a reminder of the hard-fought freedom and liberty that the nation enjoys today and to thanks the sacrifices of countless patriots who dedicated their lives to the cause.

Ogungbemi, in a statement personally signed by him said the celebration is a day to honor the courage, determination, and unwavering commitment to the nation’s progress.

“Independence Day is not just a time to rejoice, but also a time for introspection.

“As the Chief Servant of our newly created Local Council Development Area, I urge everyone to reflect upon the progress we have made in our Administration, as well as the challenges that lie ahead. Let us come together, united in purpose, to build a stronger, egalitarian, more prosperous LCDA and nation.

“Today, I encourage everyone to not only celebrate but to also contribute towards the growth and development of our nation. Let us strive to be responsible citizens, working towards the common goal of uplifting our communities and fostering a sense of unity and inclusivity amongst all.

“As we commemorate Independence Day, let us keep in mind the values that our founding fathers embraced – freedom, justice, equality, and peace. It is these principles that should guide out actions as we navigate the path towards progress and prosperity.

“I extend my warmest wishes to each and every one of you on this momentous occasion. May this Independence Day serve as a constant reminder of our duty to our nation and inspire us to work harder for the betterment of our country.”, the statement reads.
