The Nigeria Union of Journalists (NUJ) Information Chapel, Ekiti State has bestowed an award of excellence on the Director-General of Ekiti State Bureau of Community Communications, Hon. Mary Oso-Omotosho.

Presenting the award in Ado Ekiti, the chairman of the chapel, Comrade Rotimi Feyisina said the Director General was presented the award in recognition of her exceptional leadership skills, innovation, and dedication to the field of journalism.

Feyisina said Oso-Omotosho’s unwavering commitment to upholding the core values of journalism has set apart as a role model for all those within the profession.

The chairman stressed that the Director General has consistently shown integrity, professionalism, and a deep understanding of the challenges faced by media professionals.

“Your leadership has played a pivotal role in creating an environment that promotes journalistic excellence and empowers journalists to fearlessly pursue the truth. Your initiatives to promote ethical journalism, establish programs for the professional development of journalists, and foster collaboration between media organizations have had a significant impact on the industry. Under your guidance, our organization has advanced in both prominence and influence, setting standards for journalistic integrity in our community”, he said.

The “Award of Excellence” presented to the Director General , Bureau of Community Communications at the annual NUJ Information Chapel Press week . The event is dedicated to recognizing outstanding contributions to journalism and was attended by esteemed journalists, media professionals, and industry experts.
