The President of Nigeria, Asiwaju Bola Tinubu has signed into law the 2024 Appropriation Bill of N28.78 trillion, The Global News reports.

President Tinubu arrived at his office in the Presidential Villa, Abuja, promptly at 2 pm after his return from the airport.

The President immediately proceeded to a brief budget signing ceremony, accompanied by senior government officials.

The budget signing ceremony witnessed the presence of key figures, including the President of the Senate, Senator Godswill Akpabio, and the Speaker of the House of Representatives, Hon Tajudeen Abbas. Additionally, notable attendees comprised the Minister of Finance and Coordinating Minister of the Economy, Mr Wale Edun; Minister of Budget and Economic Planning, Alhaji Atiku Abubakar; and the National Security Adviser (NSA), Mallam Nuhu Ribadu.

Among the distinguished individuals present were the Chief of Staff to the President, Hon Femi Gbajabiamila; National Chairman of the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC), Dr Abdullahi Ganduje; and Chairman of the Senate Appropriation Committee, Senator Olamilekan Adeola, among others.
