These individuals reportedly supported Aiyedatiwa during the political challenges faced by the state prior to Akeredolu’s passing.

Those whose names were forwarded to the State House of Assembly for screening and confirmation were Mrs. Omowumi Isaac, Olukayode A. Ajulo, Razaq Obe, Emmanuel Igbasan, Akinwumi Sowore, and Oseni Oyeniyi.

According to a statement signed by the Chief Press Secretary to Governor Aiyedatiwa, Ebenezer Adeniyan, named the Special Adviser nominees to include Olugbenga Omole as Special Adviser on Information and Strategy; Mrs. Olamide Falana as Special Adviser on Gender Affairs and Alabi Johnson as Special Adviser on Energy.

Ajulo, who is the only Commissioner nominee who did not serve under Akeredolu, was vocal in calling for Aiyedatiwa to be named Acting Governor before the eventual demise of Akeredolu.

Obe and Sowore were the two Akeredolu’s commissioners who did not sign the vote of confidence passed on late Akeredolu during the imbroglio.
