The year 2023 is one of the most challenging years for Nigeria and Nigerians. The year will be remembered as a time of immense trials and tough decisions. It is a year since President Bola Ahmed Tinubu navigated the country through a tumultuous economic landscape, implementing critical economic measures to salvage the nation’s economy. It is a year marked by daunting challenges, stress, fear, and formidable obstacles.
However, amidst the turbulence, there’s a glimmer of gratitude as the year draws to a close. While acknowledging that numerous Nigerians face dire circumstances, those who have weathered the storm express heartfelt thanks, clinging to hope for a more promising 2024.
Personally, the conclusion of this year signifies a testament to resilience. It was undeniably arduous, yet through divine grace, navigating through this juncture feels like an achievement worth acknowledging.
A profound appreciation extends to the Governor of Ekiti State, Biodun Abayomi Oyebanji, BAO, my brother and former Governor of Ekiti State, Dr. Kayode Fayemi, and his amiable wife, Erelu Bisi Fayemi for their unwavering love and support during the outgoing year.
Special thanks to all the good and great people around me. Space will not permit me to mention their names here. Thank you to all my lovers, and supporters—loyal, committed, and ever-present social media community. No doubt your steadfastness has fueled the growth of #Adlbrand, fostering its continual ascension. Ideally, I would have celebrated each exceptional fan individually, hosting a jubilant carnival or a lively festival. Regrettably, the economic downturn has constrained such grand gestures. However, I fervently hope that 2024 heralds a year of jubilation, where all my fans nationwide can unite under the banner of celebration and revelry.
