The Deputy Chairman House of Representatives Committee on Agriculture, representing Ekiti North Federal Constituency II, Hon. Ibrahim Kunle Olarewaju has empowered about 200 People of his constituency with Tricycles, motorcycles, Deep Freezers, Sewing Machines, and host of other items, the Global News reports.
Speaking during the distribution of the empowerment items at his country home, Otun-Ekiti, Ekiti State Governor, Biodun Abayomi Oyebanji represented by his Special Adviser on Political Adviser, Chief Jide Awe commended the efforts and support of House of Representatives Member being a lover of development who keeps blazing the trail by empowering his people despite loosing APC ticket for second term.
The Former Ekiti State APC Chairman thanked the lawmaker for empowering the members of his constituency saying if all lawmakers would emulate Hon. Olarewaju the economy of the state would be more amazing without depending on the Governor for elevation.
We are going to join hands in praying for you to be more successful politically whilst in all areas of life. Orisalade urged the beneficiaries to put in good use items given to them by the lawmaker.
Speaking earlier, Hon. Ibrahim Kunle Olarewaju said the gesture is done for continuation of his goodwill to the people of Ido/Osi, Moba and Ilejemeje making him the federal constituency in other for constituents to be more empowered.
“Countless gestures like this has been done by me because it my promise to give my best for my constituents while seeking mandate in 2019. The beauty of good governance is to give back to constituents. “My love for Ekiti North Federal Constituency II which I represent in the 9th National Assembly will not die, it will be a continuous one.
Beneficiaries of the gestures appreciated the lawmaker for finding them worthy of the empowerment items. Olumide Ajayi said this is first of a Kind in the history of the federal constituency, I wish Olarewaju the best of luck even outside office. While Mrs Funke Ajayi commended the lawmaker being a great asset for good governance. I urge Governor Oyebanji to incorporate Olarewaju in his government, she added. This is even as the Lawmaker wrapped the empowerment up by giving three motorcycles for Amotekun, one per local government in Ekiti North Federal Constituency II. Dignitaries at the event are: Hon.
