The Global News reports that Renowned Nollywood actor, Dejumo Lewis, has passed away at the age of 80.

The demise of Lewis was confirmed by fellow actor Saidi Balogun in a post on his Instagram account on Saturday.

Balogun, sharing a photo of the veteran actor, expressed, “Good night Dejumo Lewis, may your soul rest in perfect peace. RIP.”

The veteran actor was a Nigerian film and television actor, famous for his Kabiyesi role in The Village Headmaster, Nigeria’s longest-running television soap opera shown on NTA from 1968 to 1988 that starred the late Justus Esiri and Femi Robinson.

Born in Lagos State, Nigeria in 1943, Lewis made his acting talent shone in several other Nigerian soap operas and movies before his death.
