Stakeholders from Ajoni Local Council Development Area of Ekiti State have given their endorsement to the Chairman Prince Michael Ogungbemi for a second term, with the Local Government elections approaching in a few months.

The endorsement was made yesterday at Baba Abejide’s country home at Ipao Ekiti where stakeholders of Ajoni LCDA converged to celebrate the new yam festival with him.

Prince Ogungbemi used the occasion to render an account of his stewardship for the last fifteen months in the saddle of the LCDA. Encomiums and ovations were showered on the Chairman as he reeled out his achievements in the areas of School constructions, drilling of boreholes for portable water, Construction of health centers, empowerment of small and medium scale business owners, security, road maintenance, gradings, etc.

The stakeholders applauded Prince Ogungbemi for his monumental achievements and concurred that one good turn deserves another.

Given the sterling performances, the motion for the continuity of Prince Ogungbemi as the Executive Chairman of Ajoni LCDA was moved by Chief Biodun Akin-Fasae, while Chief Niyi Ojo seconded the motion amidst cheers. Hereafter, he was unanimously endorsed by all the stakeholders.

The event was attended by Baba S. A Abejide, Prince Ola Adeniyi, Chief Biodun Akin Fasae, Bar. Adeyeye, Chief Niyi Ojo, Dr. Ireti Fabunmi, Hon.Sola Olominu, All Ward Chairmen of the party in Ajoni LCDA amongst others.

Reacting, the Chairman commended the stakeholders for the endorsement. He promised to continue to provide good governance, and service delivery including the provision of infrastructure to improve the LCDA.
